Life as a Student

SH MENTOR PROGRAMME

STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM MENTOR PROGRAMME

Are you new to Hungary and could use some help with everyday life?

That is why the Stipendium Hungaricum Mentor Programme was created.

How does it work?

  • The mentoring system aims to help Stipendium Hungaricum students find their way around and get used to Hungarian culture and norms.
  • Mentors are volunteers and attend the same university as their mentees, so your mentor can give you information about how life at university works, where to find the information you need, and give you advice if you need it.
  • Mentors can help you with your first administrative and academic tasks and may also organise social programmes or other activities.
  • It is important to note that mentoring services may vary slightly from institution to institution, so please contact your host institution to find out about their mentoring system. We encourage you to make use of the mentoring services offered by your host institution.

We also recommend that you visit the website of the Stipendium Hungaricum Mentor Network to find out more about our mentors and programs
