Mobilize our network as a volunteer!

Networks can only be alive if the members are part of an active and creative community. Everything starts with small groups, even the Alumni Network Hungary is growing day by day and reached more than 6000 people. Our volunteer team has an essential part of network mobilization through various meetings and workshops. Join our volunteer team for the next two years and be our network mobilizers!

Everybody has a social network. Some networks are small and monochrome, while some are very colourful, large and complex. Some of us have a geographically definable network, while some people have a global one. As a Stipendium Hungaricum student, you are involved in global international networks as a student. Either you are in the middle of your studies, last years of it or a fresh graduate who went home, you can easily keep in contact with others if you are an Alumni Network Hungary member, thanks to the different devices and platforms.

It could be comfortable and safe to have a small local network with the same kind of interests, but then your chances to gain a wider perspective or to have new influences and inspiration from different sub-cultures are limited. Maybe you arranged, facilitated or participate in a local alumni network and it was essential to strengthen your community-building skills. Those skills do not just help you to enlarge your groups but widen your focus and own commitment to our alumni network.

Our network has an enthusiastic volunteer group, who devoted their time and energy to building the Alumni Network Hungary through 10 different activity types. Besides their work, we had some workshops even during the pandemic to discuss the network’s future and services. We provided online tutorials to support their volunteering and had individual consultations about their plan and also to mentor them.

Our volunteer programme is a long-term project (of 2 years at least) after which we give you a certificate or reference for your future work as a recommendation. Join us and become our international alumni volunteer for the next two years, and make the alumni community more vibrant together!

“You have a chance of being a part of a very diverse community where one gets to know different cultures and values. Here’s a good platform to network with like-minded people from across the globe and to expand this network by sharing your experience with current and prospective students, and experts.” (Vishant Pratap Singh, financial reporting analyst at City Budapest former Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holder)

Now the application period for the International Alumni Volunteer programme is open until the end of August and if you wish to support the Alumni Network Hungary through volunteering, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Don’t forget: a community can only be vibrant if you take an active part and look for a way to commit your time and skills.
