About “Farewell Speech of the Year 2022” video campaign

 

Create a farewell speech, make a short video about your studies as a Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Holder and send your message to other graduate students. Share your favourite memories during your university years and tell how you developed both personally and professionally during your Hungarian stay! Do not forget to send us both your video and a written version of your speech!

The videos will be shared on the Study in Hungary Official Facebook page and the followers of the Facebook page will vote for the best video, which will be the “Farewell Speech of the Year”. The first 30 participants who send their videos will be awarded. Do not forget that to participate your video should follow the criteria enlisted below in the “Practicalities” section!

Who can participate?

The campaign is open to all graduating Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship holders finishing their studies this year. Participants must be over 18-years-old.

Practicalities

If you are in, please upload your video to wetransfer.com and send 1) your data, 2) the link of the video and 3) the written version of your speech to the contact person of Tempus Public Foundation. The video should not be longer than 1,5 minute and it must be in MP4 format with a maximum of 1080px. The size of the video cannot be more than 10 GB. One person can submit one video.

Please be sure to pay attention to such technical details as the following:

 

Light

 Background
Natural light is the best! Daytime is preferable. Find a window or soft light source and record with the light coming from in front of you. Keep it simple! Try to avoid virtual or chaotic backgrounds. Find a quiet place with no background noise. Try to make sure there are no echoes or background distractions while recording.
 

Eyes

  

Position
Look directly into the camera. Try not to look at yourself while you’re speaking and keep the camera at eye level. You can sit or stand, as long as you are comfortable! Try to keep a slight distance from the camera. We recommend staying around one arm’s length away from the camera.

Content

You can choose any style – be personal, creative and let your imagination run free. Also, you can tell your message in a poem, in slam poetry, or in any other format, just be innovative and creative!

Schedule:

The campaign period starts on 30 May and ends on 15 June, 2022. On 30 May, Tempus Public Foundation (the “Organizer”) shares the official post of the “Farewell Speech of the Year” campaign on the official Facebook page of Study in Hungary. Also, the Organizer notifies graduating Stipendium Hungaricum students by email and publishes the opportunity on stipendiumhungaricum.hu.

The deadline for sending your Farewell videos, your data and the written version of your speech is 15 June, 10:00 AM (CET). If you want to participate, please upload your video to wetransfer.com and send the link to the contact person of the Organizer. Only those videos participate in the campaign that meet the conditions in the “Practicalities” section. Please, be sure to send us your personal data too, given in the Terms and conditions section.

If a video you submit is found to be disruptive or offensive, the Organizer can exclude the competitor and the video will not participate in the game.

After sending in your videos, the Organizer shares the names of the Participants and their videos on the official Facebook page of Study in Hungary, and the followers of the Facebook page will vote for the best video between 22th and 29th  June.

Followers of the Study in Hungary Facebook page can vote for the best video until 29th June, until 9:00 AM (CET). Your vote only participates in the campaign if you “like” the original post of the game, posted on the official Facebook page of Study in Hungary. One person can vote for more videos. The video which gets the highest number of “Likes” will be the Farewell Speech of the Year.

At the end of the game, the first 30 participants will get a Stipendium Hungaricum package who sent and shared their Farewell videos, their written versions of the speech, their data, and followed the criterias enlisted in the “Practicalities” section. The winner of the Farewell Speech of the Year will be announced until the 30st June, until 17:00 PM (CET).

Prizes

The first 30 participants who send their videos will be awarded. Participants of the game will receive a Stipendium Hungaricum package which contains the following:

  • Stipendium Hungaricum Notebook (Booklet)
  • Stipendium Hungaricum Card Case
  • Stipendium Hungaricum Suitcase Label

The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Organizer. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted and the prize is nontransferable. No substitution of prize or transfer of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by the Participant is permitted.

Winners selection and notification

The game is under the supervision of the Organizer. The first 30 videos will be awarded that follow the criterias enlisted above in the “Practicalities” section! The list of Participants and their videos will be announced and published on the official Facebook page of Study in Hungary on 22rd June, 2022, until 17:00 PM (CET). After the announcement, the Participants shall contact the contact person of Tempus Public Foundation via email.

The winner of the Farewell Speech of the Year will be announced until the 30th June, until 17:00 PM (CET).

If the Participants do not contact the contact person and fail to claim the prize within 7 days from the time of the announcement, the prize may be forfeited. The Organizer reserve the right not to announce a winner, if no video is sent to the contact person or the videos do not meet the criteria in the “Practicalities” section.

By sharing your video with the Organizer, You declare that You intend to participate in the “Farewell Speech of the Year” video promotion campaign (organized by Tempus Public Foundation) and You accept the following Terms and Conditions in full.

Organizer of the campaign

 Tempus Public Foundation is the Organizer of “Farewell Speech of the Year 2022” video competition.

Warranties and indemnification

By participating to the call, participants represent and warrant that the video uploaded by them do  not contain any material, which is in breach of the rights, pleas and claims of third parties whether financial or personal.

The Participant acknowledges that all responsibility for the personal and copyright violations caused by the preparation or public presentation of the Works is borne by the Participant, including the financial liability for the violation. In case of a clear violation, the Organizer may exclude the Applicant or his / her particular work from the competition.

In case of legal claims that have been established by third parties as justified, the Organizer will  transfer them to the Participant.

Management of exploitation rights

 Participant grants a free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and transferable license to use, reproduce, amend, adapt and alter (including but not limited to translate and dubbing), publish, distribute, publicly execute and communicate, broadcast and view the uploaded video (wholly or partially) on the websites and other forums of the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship including the Study in Hungary Facebook page and Study in Hungary Youtube channel.

The personality rights of the persons who may be involved in the video should be taken into account. The Participant must also have the consent of the persons who are well recognizable in the video to use the video.

Exclusions

 Videos which the Organizer at their sole and unquestionable discretion, shall deem to be unsuitable for publication may be excluded. The Organizer reserves the right to exclude works which contain material which is in breach of third party rights (breach of industrial/intellectual property rights),  could be considered discriminatory based on race, and/or religion and/or nationality; is violent, pornographic or of a sexual nature; is defamatory; incites hatred; contains reference to alcohol, drugs or illegal substances; is contrary to law or contains reference to ill-treatment of animals.

Privacy statement

 Organiser of the game: Tempus Public Foundation is the Organizer of “Farewell Speech of the Year 2022” campaign.

The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook. Study in Hungary Facebook page does not share or forward personal data to Facebook.

Data Controller: Tempus Public Foundation, who is the manager of the Study in Hungary Facebook page.

The legal base of data management: The Management of data is based on your voluntary, informed statement, which includes your explicit consent for the use of your personal data provided by your comment below the Campaign’s post. (Legal basis is Article 6 (1) (a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)).

As per the course of the Campaign, your video will be displayed to the public and to those who are interested in the Study in Hungary Facebook page (i.e. fans and visitors).

Scope of the data management

In connection with the Campaign, we will manage the following personal data of the Participant:

  • name
  • e-mail address
  • postal address
  • date of birth
  • name of Hungarian higher education (where previously studied / currently studying with Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship)
  • name of study programme (previously studied / currently studying with Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship)
  • study level (previously studied / currently studying with Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship)

The purpose of the data management: The Data Controller manages the Participant’s data for the purpose of identifying the Participant, to send email and the prize, and to keep in touch with them in connection to the Campaign. The Data Controller reserves the right to offer invitation(s) to participant(s) whose video(s) comply with the rules of the campaign in order to perform their speech(es) during the Stipendium Hungaricum Farewell Event 2022.

The duration of the data management: In the case of the Campaign, personal data will be processed until the purpose of data management is achieved, but at most until the Participant’s voluntary consent is withdrawn. The Participant may withdraw their voluntary consent at any time, free of charge, by sending an e-mail to krisztina.szabo@tpf.hu.
